LA MIRADA, Calif. --- Biola Athletics is thrilled to announce that its sixth Athletics Week of Giving achieved a record-breaking success. The annual event raised $400,768 over the course of five days, marking the first time giving surpassed the $400,000 threshold. 

One thousand, three hundred and twenty-four donors, consisting of alumni, staff/faculty, students, families and friends donated to support the mission of Biola Athletics. This year's fundraising total includes $70,000 of sponsor support provided through the generosity of West Coast Sand & Gravel and Eclectic Associates.
 
"We are incredibly grateful to see the support of the community rallying to boldly support our student-athletes," said Associate Vice President for Student Development and Senior Director of Athletics Dr. Bethany Miller. "The generosity of this record-breaking week will increase our ability to achieve our vision to see every student-athlete empowered in their experience, transformed in their faith, and thriving in the calling the Lord has on their lives."

For this campaign, Biola Athletics embraced the theme BOLD, aiming to highlight how our student-athletes and staff stand firm in their beliefs, seize opportunities for growth, lead with courage and drive toward success. The generosity shown throughout the week makes that vision a reality. Biola Athletics supporters ensured that Biola student-athletes and staff are equipped to continue to step boldly into their roles, excelling on and off the field, and most importantly, being bold in their faith, representing Christ in all they do.

"What an incredible week for our programs and for Biola Athletics. Our Athletics Week of Giving allows us to continue to share the story of how God is at work on our campus and within each of our athletics programs," said Director of Athletics Development, Dr. Mike Teague. "This type of success only comes from a collaborative effort between multiple departments and through the commitment of our coaches. We are blessed to have an incredible and talented group of staff and coaches, and this week showcased their commitment to excellence."

Throughout the week each program competed to see who could raise the most funds from their supporters, with various challenge awards that would add to their total funds raised. The Men's Basketball program finished on top, raising just over $75,000 over the week, with the Golf program finishing in second with $52,000 raised. Volleyball rounded out the podium in third place by raising $30,000.
