Eagles See Action at The Master’s

The Biola cross country teams sent a group of athletes to compete in The Master's Invitational at Central Park.

SANTA CLARITA, Calif.---The Biola cross country teams sent a group of athletes to compete in The Master's Invitational at Central Park.

Biola's men entered seven athletes to compete in the 8k. The Eagles were paced by Jan Kuncický who recorded a personal best time of 25:39.20. Joshua Klausmeier and Zachary Wallace were the next two Eagles to cross the finish line and both set personal bests in the 8k. Klausmeier placed 62nd with a time of 25:49.90 and Wallace followed in 78th, finishing at 26:09.50.

Following Wallace was Luke Poarch (100th, 26:31.50), Carter Hawley (125, 26:56.80), Ben Eriksen (130, 26:59.20) and Nicholas Geringer (162, 27:33.90).

BU's men ended up placing 12th of 26 teams at the Master's Invitational.

Biola's women sent two runners to compete in the 6k at the Master's. Keira Coye led the Eagles' duo, finishing 43rd with a time of 23:16.80 and Caitlin Chea placed 74th with a time of 23:53.40. Chea recorded a personal best in the event. Both Coye and Chea finished in the top half of the participants at the invitational.

Up next for the Biola cross country teams is the Lewis Crossover, where the Eagles will face a highly competitive field. The invite is scheduled for Saturday, October 12th, in Romeoville, Illinois.
