The Biola softball team had 11 players recognized as Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athletes.

LOUISVILLE, Ky.---The Biola softball team had 11 players recognized as Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athletes. 

To be eligible for the academic honor, athletes were required to have cumulative grade point averages (GPAs) of 3.5 or higher.

Two Eagles achieved a perfect 4.0 GPA. Jennifer Morinishi graduated with a 4.0 GPA  in her Public Relations Certificates in Strategic Communication and Leadership and Ethics. Allie Beck enters her senior year with a 4.0 GPA in her bachelor's degree of communication studies. 

Additionally, Loren Meza and Colby McClinton earned above a 3.9 GPA. Meza graduated with a 3.97 GPA in her bachelor's of sociology and McClinton closed her freshman year with a 3.93 GPA.

The remaining seven All-America Scholar-Athletes with above 3.5 GPAs were Brie Nowak, DJ Symons, Hailey Paull, Kayla Bousquette, Kylee Messmer, Maddie Riley and Rilee Ruvalcaba.

The softball team finished the 2022-23 school year with a cumulative team GPA of 3.41 which placed them 75th of 99 Division II universities. The Eagles were the third-best team in the PacWest Conference behind Dominican University (3.496) and Chaminade University (3.411).
