The women’s tennis team had four athletes chosen to the CSC’s All-District team.

GREENWOOD, Ind.---The Biola women's tennis team had four athletes selected to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team on Tuesday.

Gaby Carvajal, Colbeyshae Emery, Lilly McNeill, and Brooke Fager represented Biola on the prestigious academic list.

To be eligible student-athletes must be a starter or key reserve who played in at least 50 percent of their teams games with at least a 3.5 cumulative grade point average. Athletes also must have been at their institution for at least 12 months to be eligible, unless they are a graduate student. 

Carvajal is pursuing her degree in business administration and leads the Eagles with a 3.92 GPA. Carvajal played fifth court singles for the Eagles where she accumulated a 6-10 overall record and did well in second and third court doubles where she picked up a 10-7 overall record.

Emery is working on her master's of business administration where she has a 3.9 GPA. Emery led the Eagles on the first court with a 10-7 overall singles record. Emery was ranked as high as the 48th-best singles player in the nation by ITA. Emery was a Second Team All-PacWest selection in singles and doubles.

McNeill is completing her degree in business administration and has a 3.6 GPA. McNeill played second, third and fourth court singles where she totaled a 8-7 overall record. McNeill was also successful in doubles where she picked up a 11-5 overall record.

Fager was the Eagles final selection with a 3.6 GPA in kinesiology. Fager played first and second court doubles, accumulating a 10-5 overall record. Fager was a Second Team All-PacWest doubles pick with Emery.

WHAT'S NEXT?
All-District selections will move on and be voted on for Academic All-America. The Academic All-American team will be released on Thursday, June 1.
