LOUISVILLE, Ky.---Colby McClinton was selected as the West Region's finalist for the TUCCI/NFCA Freshman of the Year award. 

Seven other freshmen, one representing each Division II region from across the nation, joined McClinton as a finalist for the award.

McClinton made program history once again as the Biola softball team's first finalist for TUCCI/NFCA's prestigious freshman honor. Earlier in the season, McClinton made program history for the longest on-base streak.

McClinton add's TUCCI/NFCA Freshman of the Year Finalist to a growing list of honors including: NFCA First Team All-Region, D2CCA First Team All-Region, PacWest Player and Freshman of the Year, and First Team All-PacWest.

WHAT'S NEXT
The Association's Division II All-America Committee will vote from the pool of finalists and the award winner will be announced on Thursday, May 23.
