CHICO, Calif.---Colby McClinton received her second First Team All-Region honor, this time by the D2CCA who named her to their All-West Region First Team as a shortstop.
The Eagles' standout freshman was one of 14 athletes from the DII West Region named to the D2CCA's elite All-West Region First Team.Â
McClinton had an incredible freshman season where she played in and started in all of Biola's 53 games at shortstop. McClinton has garnered several honors for a special year including the PacWest's Player and Freshman of the Year, First Team All-PacWest and First Team All-West Region by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA).Â
McClinton continues to lead the PacWest Conference in four major hitting categories including: batting average (.440), on base percentage (.523), on base plus slugging (1.095) and hits (73). McClinton is also a national statistical leader in batting average, ranking 45th-best in the nation.Â
McClinton leads her team in 11 offensive statistical categories including: batting average, on base plus slugging, at-bats (170), runs (44), hits, doubles (12), triples (5), slugging, walks (21), on base percentage and stolen bases (16).Â

McClinton will be entered in the D2CCA All-American ballot which will be voted on and released at a later date.
