AZUSA, Calif.--- The Biola track and field teams completed the first day of the APU Last Chance Qualifier meet.

Biola had one athlete competing in Friday's field events. Jada Pierce represented BU in the hammer throw and placed sixth of 11 athletes. Pierce recorded a throw of 45.90m in the 11-athlete event.

Maggie Williams was a standout of the women's side, leading her team with a top 10 finish in the 800m run. Williams placed ninth of 43 athletes with a time of 2:11.20. Hannah Champness also finished in the top half, placing 15th with a time of 2:12.18.

Ryan Todd led the men's team with a seventh place finish in the 10,000m run. The Freshman recorded a new personal best of 30:52.52 which was about 21 seconds better than his previous best of 31:13.60. In addition, Todd was around 24 seconds away from an NCAA provisional time.

Aidan Tomasini finished in the top half in the 5,000m run. Tomasini ran 14:53.91 in the 5,000m run which placed him 48 of 99 runners.

The Eagles have another exciting day lined up for tomorrow where they will wrap up the APU Last Chance Qualifier.
