IRVINE, Calif.---Colbeyshae Emery earned this week's PacWest Player of the Week award for her outstanding performances against Cal State LA, Westmont, and Point Loma. 

Emery recorded three singles wins from the first court last week, beginning on Monday (Apr. 3) where she defeated CSULA's Sarah Olmos 1-6, 6-1, 6-1. 

And then on Friday (Apr. 7) Emery recorded her second singles win of the week where she took down Westmont's Sophia Ostovany 6-2, 6-0.

Emery wrapped up a fantastic week on Saturday (Apr. 8) with her third-consecutive singles win against PLNU's Arianna Audelo. When Emery first faced Audelo in March at Point Loma, their match was left unfinished. Emery won the first set 6-3, lost her second set 5-7 and was leading 1-0 in the deciding set. Most recently, Emery took down Audelo in two sets. Emery defeated Audelo 6-1, 6-4 which was Biola's only singles win against the Sea Lions on Saturday.  

Emery also recorded two doubles wins with her partner Brooke Fager on the first court. Their first match against CSULA was unfinished, but they were the first to finish against Westmont where they won 6-1. 

Emery and Fager were also the first ones to finish in their second win of the week. Emery and Fager took down PLNU 6-3 which gave them the opportunity to win the doubles point in their 5-2 win over Point Loma.
