LAREDO, Tex.--- The Biola women's golf team concluded the Jack Brown Memorial, placing sixth in the 11-team tournament.

The nationally-ranked No. 25 Eagles recorded a final team score of 649 for the two-day invitational. Ahead of Biola was No.19 UT Tyler in fifth (639), Angelo State in fourth (637), St. Mary's (TX) in third (631), Texas A&M International in second (620), and No. 6 West Texas A&M was the tournament team Champion with a final score of 614. West Texas A&M also had the tournament's medalist, Alyssa Campbell, who recorded two-above par (72-74).

The Eagles showed improvements throughout the day, successfully shaving off 21 strokes from their first round score of 335. Melanie Reyes, Emily Cons, Rachel Shaw, and Mailinh Vu all improved in their second rounds. Shaw and Reyes showed the most impressive improvements, shaving down 14 and 11 strokes respectively. 

Brady Turnquist continued to lead the Eagles on the leaderboard, finishing tied for ninth (75-81).

Reyes placed the next-highest at T20, moving up four slots from the previous day (86-75). She was followed by Cons (T29, 83-81), Shaw (T38, 91-77), and Vu (T55, 91-90).

Abigale Morris competed as Biola's individualist. Morris duplicated her first round score of 83 to finish the tournament tied for 32nd. 

Biola will head home and prepare for their next tournament, the Pioneer Shootout, on Monday, Feb. 27 through Tuesday, Feb. 28.
