ALAMEDA, Calif.--- Unfavorable weather conditions prevented play from continuing in the Tim Tierney Pioneer Shootout. 

The Biola women's golf team continued to battle a field of 17 teams and the stormy weather at the Corica Park Golf Course, but their second round would soon be cut short due to the unplayable conditions.

Since the second round could not continue it was decided that the final scoring would be reverted to the team's first round scores which left Biola tied for eighth with Cal State Monterey Bay with a team score of 321. Ahead of the Eagles was first place Cal State East Bay (306), tied for second Point Loma and Cal State San Marcos (312), tied for fourth Sonoma State and George Fox (318), sixth Cal State LA (318), and seventh Simon Fraser (319).

Brady Turnquist's first round score of 76 led the Eagles and made her tied for fourth with four others. Turnquist was named to the All-Tournament team with PLNU's Alli Kim (the Individual Champion), CSUSM's Madison Murr, CSUEB's Mandi Granato, and ART U's Plern Rattanaprakam.

Melanie Reyes was BU's next highest finisher, tied for ninth with a first round score of 77. Following Reyes was Rachel Shaw (T45, 82), Abigale Morris (T68, 86) and Emily Cons (T80, 90).

Jessica Cornelius was Biola's individualist who finished tied for 13th with a first round score of 78.

The Eagles play next on Monday, Mar. 6 at Cal State San Marco's Fujikura Invitational at the Shadowridge Golf Club.
