INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.--- Biola University was recognized as one of 44 Division II institutions to receive the NCAA's Presidents' Award.

Biola had the second-highest academic success rate (ASR) in DII, which was 98 percent. This put the Eagles as one of the top six universities in DII tying D'Youville, Hillsdale and Thomas Jefferson University who also achieved a 98% ASR.

The top two institutions were Bentley and Saint Michael's who earned an ASR of 99%.

Biola was one of only three PacWest Conference member's to earn the Presidents' Award. The Eagles' ASR of 98% was conference-leading. Dominican had the second-highest rate of 94% and Point Loma was third with an ASR of 92 percent.

This is the 13th year that the award has been given and Biola's fifth time receiving as a member of DII. To be considered for the Presidents' Award the university must have had an Academic Success Rate (ASR) of at least 90 percent.The ASR is the percentage of student-athletes who graduated within a six-year window (2013-16) of their first-time enrollment.
