AZUSA, Calif. --- The Eagles took on the Azusa Pacific Cougars in a dual meet between Friday and Saturday. APU was able to take the win over the weekend in a 130-113 final score, but Lorelai Carney took care of business on the dive at Biola on Friday.

Carney and the rest of the field started on the 3M board and the junior notched a score of 268.55 through six dives. After winning in the 3M, she went on to take gold again in the 1M with a score of 250.00, while going all the way through to 11 dives for qualification purposes.

Biola started Saturday in style at Azusa Pacific, winning the 400 medley relay. The grouping of Allison Yancey, Meghan Tolman, Morgan Kampfer, and Phoebe Munholland turned in a time of 3:55.64 to nab gold in event number one. BU also grabbed second and third in the 400 free relay.

Kampfer grabbed an event crown, defeating the field in the 200 butterfly. Kampfer led all competitors by two seconds with a time of 2:09.4. Sofia Chavez-Varela followed in second place in the event with a mark of 2:11.03.

Biola showed its depth in the 50 free race with three finishers in the top-four. The three Eagles went 2-3-4, as Katie Ottman (24.73), Tolman (24.75), and Munholland (24.88) went back-to-back-to-back.

The squad pulled off the same feat in the 200 backstroke between Yancey in second, Chloe Colvard in third and Savanna Taylor in fourth. 

Three more second place finishes came through for Biola on Saturday. Tessa Halleen nabbed silver in the 1000 free with a time of 11:12.36 and Chavez-Varela did the same in the 200 free with a mark of 1:57.68. In the 200 breaststroke, Rachel Munch touched in 2:24.75 for second place, as well.

Biola diving will be back in action at the Soka Invite on Saturday, November 11.
