IRVINE, Calif.--- The Biola University women's cross country team was crowned PacWest Team of the Week, AGAIN. This time for their performance at the UC Riverside Invitational. Last week the Red and Black was named co-team of the week alongside Concordia and this week they were named the solo recipients of the weekly conference honor.

The Eagles were the top non-Division I team at the UC Riverside Invite, placing 10th of 31 teams in the competitive field. They also finished ahead of three other PacWest Conference teams: Concordia (15th), Academy of Art (25th), and Fresno Pacific (29th). 

Lynette Ruiz paced the Eagles, coming in 39th with a personal-best six kilometer time of 21:12.5. 

The next highest BU finisher was Bethany Mapes (54th - 21:26) and Grace Catena (55th - 21:26).

The women's cross country team competes next Saturday, October 8 at the Pomona-Pitzer Invitational in Claremont, Calif.
