THORNTON, Colo.--- The Biola University women's golf team concluded the Swan Memorial this afternoon at the Todd Creek Golf Club. 

The Eagles (925, +61) finished the tournament tied for fifth of 16 teams. Host Colorado Christain claimed first place (903, +39), followed by second place Midwestern State (907, +47), third place Angelo State (919, +55), and fourth place Colorado State Pueblo who edged Biola and Cameron by just one swing scoring 924, 60-above par.

Biola dominated the Par 3s, averaging the lowest score of all their competitors and tied for the most eagles with Metro State. Biola's eagles came from Madison Voisard and Abigale Morris.

Voisard led the Eagles on the leaderboard, ending the tournament tied for seventh with two others. Voisard's strong second hole performance on Monday put her in a great position coming into Tuesday's final round. 

Voisard ended the first day tied for first, just two strokes over par. She carded 78 in her first round with three birdies and was an impressive four-under-par in her second attempt with five birdies and an eagle. Voisard's second-round of 68 tied her with Biola's current record holder Sami Penor for the best single round in Biola Women's Golf program history. 

Voisard faltered a bit in her final round, turning in a final score of 80 which placed her 10-above-par in the tournament. 

Following Voisard was Brady Turnquist (T19, +16), Rachel Shaw (T29, +19), Melanie Reyes (T34, +20) and Morris (42, +24). The final round was favorable to Turnquist, Shaw, and Reyes who all shot their best scores of the invite and moved up on the leaderboard. 

Jessica Cornelius competed as an individual and placed 63rd with a score of 252 and 36-above-par.

The women's golf team competes next Saturday, September 24 at the Westminster Wasatch Invitational in Utah.
