IRVINE, Calif. --- The final week of the regular season and the final PacWest softball weekly honors meant one last chance for Austin to cement herself as one of the best ever in the conference. The team's four-game series against Academy of Art featured a no-hitter, two wins and a save from Austin, helping her earn her fifth PacWest Pitcher of the Week award this year and the 11th of her career.

Austin's first appearance of the week made for a historic performance. Five innings pitched went by without a hit from the Urban Knights, as Austin picked up the no-hitter. The Eagles run-ruled the host squad and Austin compiled 11 strikeouts through the 15 outs.

The very next game, Austin offered a relief effort to close out another Biola victory. 2.2 scoreless frames was good for the save in the contest, marking number two on the season. 

Game three of the series was another masterpiece from the senior, who tallied 15 strikeouts for a BU win. The shutout was her eighth of the year, as she nabbed win number 14 of 2022. Two hits was all that ART U could muster against Austin, who surpassed 200 strikeouts on the season in the win.

The righty finished off 2022 with 23 scoreless innings and brought her earned-run average to 0.74, which ties the conference record. 

Austin will now be nominated for the NFCA National Pitcher of the Week.
