IRVINE, Calif. --- For the 11th time in her illustrious career, Paige Austin nabbed a PacWest weekly honor on Monday afternoon. The league offices tabbed her as the PacWest Pitcher of the Week following an 11-strikeout shutout last weekend.

When an unstoppable force met an immovable object, something had to give on Saturday afternoon. The 28-0 in PacWest play Concordia Eagles faced off against Biola and Austin in BU's final home series of the year. Austin came through for Biola and shut down the No. 9 Concordia offense. The righty tossed the complete game and added another shutout to her season, helping the BU Eagles to a 2-0 win in game one. 11 strikeouts came in from Austin, who reached double-digit whiffs for the eighth time this year.

Everything was working for Austin on the day, starting the contest with three swinging strikeouts and followed it up with three perfect frames. She ended the outing with a three-up three-down seventh inning and logged a strikeout for four of the last six outs.

The shutout marked the ninth of her career and bettered her season record to 12-5. On the year, Austin has compiled a 0.84 earned-run average, 175 strikeouts and 125 innings pitched.

Austin and the Eagles will be back in action for their final four-game series in the regular season beginning on Thursday at Academy of Art.
