Grace Kling had her first action at the 2022 NCAA Division II Swimming & Diving Championships on Friday morning at the Greensboro Aquatic Center.
The Eagles' sophomore turned in a 1:04.45 in the first heat of the women's 100-yard breaststroke to finish second in her heat, using a late charge to out-touch a third-place swimmer from Saint Leo (Fla.).
Kling finished 31st overall in the 100-breaststroke. She will be back in action on Saturday with a chance in the 200-breaststroke, an event she finished ninth in one year ago. Kling's 200-breaststroke is the third event of Saturday's prelim schedule. The prelims as a whole begin at 7 a.m. PT.
