LA MIRADA --- A 12-1 start to the 2022 campaign has drawn national attention for the Biola Eagles, who climbed 14 spots in the ITA Division II Women's National Rankings. Biola was tabbed as No. 11 in the nation on Thursday, which marked the best rating in program history.

The BU squad headed into the Thursday poll on a nine-match winning streak, including five shutouts. Through the halfway point in the 2022 season, Biola has already accumulated wins over No. 14 Azusa Pacific and No. 29 Point Loma.

At home, the Eagles have been unbeatable, boasting a 7-0 record at the Biola Tennis Center. Six of the last seven wins have come at home for BU, including five conference victories.

Mary Brascia made her mark with a No. 46 individual ranking on Thursday. On the year, the redshirt junior has a 7-3 record in singles play with all seven wins coming in straight-sets fashion. Brascia is 1-0 from the No. 1 spot and 6-3 from the No. 2 spot so far in 2022.

In doubles play, Brascia has been dominant alongside Colbeyshae Emery for a 10-0 overall record. The duo was named No. 24 in the doubles rankings. Brascia and Emery put together their best play in their toughest stretch, winning their matchup against APU, FPU and PLNU without giving up more than three games in any match.

Biola will look to maintain its impressive pace on Saturday at Concordia at 11:00 am.
