INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.--- Biola University Athletics received top honors as one of 44 Division II institutions to receive the NCAA's Presidents' Award and led the group of honorees with the highest Academic Success Rate in DII.

"We are honored to receive the NCAA Division II President's Award for Academic Success," exclaimed athletic director Dr. Bethany Miller. "To be a leader in the NCAA Division II for student-athletes and their path to graduation is incredible. Our Biola staff across campus partner with our student-athletes to ensure they achieve their academic goals while representing Biola University competitively, and this is confirmation of the strong collaborative work."

This is the 12th year that the award has been given and Biola's fourth time receiving as a member of DII. To be considered for the Presidents' Award the university must have had an Academic Success Rate (ASR) of at least 90 percent. The ASR is the percentage of student-athletes who graduated within a six-year window (2012-15) of their first-time enrollment. 

Biola, Bentley University, and Saint Michael's College tied for the highest ASR in all of NCAA Division II with a 99 percent Academic Success Rate. 

The PacWest Conference only had three universities receive the 2022 Presidents' Award. Behind Biola was Dominican with an ASR of 94 percent and Point Loma with an ASR of 91.
