November 15, 2022

POMONA, Calif.--- The Biola Men's Soccer Team continues to receive recognition for a great 2022 season with the addition of four D2CCA All-West Region selections.

Izaac Zausch, Kristian Colaci, and Jakob Schnitzler were named First Team All-West Region, while Theo Le Calve was placed on the region's second team.

The first team selections will go on to be nominated and considered for All-America honors.

Zausch is receiving regional honors for his second-consecutive season. In 2021, Zausch was a First Team All-West Region selection.

Zausch led the Eagles' defensive line and contributed one goal and four assists. Zausch also received conference recognition for his efforts this season with his second-consecutive PacWest Defender of the Year honor and First Team placement.

Colaci and Schnitzler were two Eagles who were new this season and made an immediate impact.

Colaci, a First Team All-West Region Forward, was the PacWest's Player of the Year who led four PacWest statistical categories including: goal scoring (15 goals), shots (69 shots), shots on goal (38 shots), and overall points (33 points). Colaci's 15 goals also made him sixth-best in scoring in Division II at that time.

Schnitzler, a First Team All-West Region Defender,  was the conference's Newcomer of the Year. Schnitzler was a crucial member of the Eagles' defensive line who contributed one goal and four assists.

Le Calve, a Second Team All-West Region Midfielder, is also not unfamiliar with this honor as this is his second-consecutive season receiving all-region honors. Due to unforeseen circumstances, Le Calve was only able to participate in nine matches but he made his time on the field count. In nine matches, Le Calve was a big offensive contributor, scoring five goals and three assists. Two of his five goals were game-winners.

The Eagles wrapped up their season in Texas after being eliminated in the first round of the NCAA DII Men's Soccer Championship by Midwestern State.
