NEW ORLEANS, La.--- The Biola University Women's Cross Country Team remains ranked in the USTFCCCA NCAA DII Women's Cross Country National Coaches' Poll in its fifth week of publication.  

The Eagles have been ranked every week in the USTFCCCA's national poll. This week Biola was ranked No. 20 by the USTFCCCA coaches. Biola is the highest ranked PacWest Conference team above No. 23 Azusa Pacific. 

The Eagles have won two of the three meets they have competed in, including their most recent competition: the Pomona-Pitzer. Lynette Ruiz helped her team win the Pomona-Pitzer title as the Eagles top runner with a time of 21:41.3. Ruiz trailed one of the best Division III runners in the country, Claremont-Mudd Scripps' Natalie Bitetti who crossed the line first.

Biola will split forces at two meets this weekend. Half of the squad will be at the John Elders Titan Invite on Friday (Oct. 21) and the other half will be at the NCAA Division II Pre-Nationals Invite on Saturday (Oct. 22).
