NEW ORLEANS, La. – Biola Men's Cross Country team was selected sixth in the West Region in the preseason edition of the 2021 NCAA Division II Men's Cross Country Regional Rankings, as released by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

The USTFCCCA Regional Cross Country Coaches' Rankings are determined subjectively by a single member coach in each respective region. The regional representative is tasked with weighing returning teams' strength with current season results (if applicable) in determining a rank-order of squad potential.

In the West Region, fellow PacWest opponents Fresno Pacific and Azusa Pacific begin the season at No. 3 and No. 8, respectively. Biola comes in at No. 5 and will lean on a strong core of 19 runners to power through the season. 

The Eagles debuted on Friday, September 10 as they opened their season with a second-place team finish, a fifth-place individual finish from Brady DeHaven, and had five runners place in the top-15.

In its first meet since the 2019 season, Biola defeated three ranked opponents at the Biola Invitational, No. 5 Cal State San Marcos, No. 7 Cal Poly Pomona and No. 8 Azusa Pacific.
