IRVINE, Calif. --- The Biola men's soccer squad was ranked No. 6 in the PacWest 2021 Preseason Poll, while also pulling in one first place vote. 

In the poll, the Eagles collected 65 points, coming up three points shy of Dominican. Azusa Pacific led the pack, followed by Point Loma, Concordia and Fresno Pacific.

The BU team has quite a few new faces for the 2021 campaign, including their head coach, Joey O'Keefe who took the lead role at the beginning of August. The roster also features 11 newcomers with six transfers looking to make an impact in La Mirada.

The Eagles are coming off a 1-4 2020 season, which was shortened due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Lawrence Kwazema was the impact player for BU recording a hat trick in the team's blowout win over Bethesda in their home finale.

The 2021 campaign will officially begin on the road with a bout against CSU San Marcos on Thursday at 4:00 pm.
