CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. --- Biola women's golf added to its 2020-2021 season with incredible academic honors. Sami Penor, Jules Loibl and Mary Grace Davidson notched Women's Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar Team selections.

Biola collected three of the 1,432 scholar awards given out across all divisions of the NCAA and the NAIA. The PacWest tallied nine total accolades, with Biola leading the way followed by Academy of Art, Hawaii Hilo and Holy Names each nabbing two.

Each athlete named to the all-american scholar team qualified under strict guidelines, maintaining solid play and a cumulative grade-point average of at least a 3.50.

On top of the academic achievement, Penor found success on the course in the 2020-2021 campaign. The junior was named to the All-PacWest Second Team, after posting three-straight top-four finishes and an 11th-place mark in the PacWest Conference Tournament.

Loibl took advantage of her opportunities, posting two 17th-place finishes. The senior's best performance came in the PacWest Conference Tournament, as she helped the Eagles take third.

As a true freshman, Davidson made a splash in 2021, landing on the prestigious all-american scholar team, while also nabbing a Second-Team All-PacWest distinction. At the Bay Area Invitational, Davidson posted a +7 through two rounds and tied for fifth amongst the field.

The group of award-winners from Biola were the first Eagles to receive the honor since Victoria Roeske in 2018-2019.
