RICHMOND, Va. --- Two Biola swimmers, Katelyn Harper and Grace Kling, have been named to the list of Collegiate Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-America lists. Kling earned a first team selection while Harper earned Honorable Mention consideration. 

The annual award recognizes students who achieved a grade point average of 3.50 or higher and were invited to compete at their respective national championship.
 
First-Team Scholar All-America student-athletes must have earned a GPA of 3.5 or higher and participated in their national championship.  Second-Team selections (also called Honorable Mention) must have also earned a 3.50 GPA or higher and achieved a "B" time standard for the national championship or participated at a diving zone qualification meet.

Kling was a key contributor to Biola's perfect season and punched her ticket to the NCAA Division II Swimming & Diving Championships where she earned NCAA All-American Second Team honors. During the Pacific Collegiate Swim and Dive Conference (PCSC) Championships, Kling secured a first place finish in the 200-breaststroke, anchored the 400-medley relay win and took second place 100-breaststroke. She also set the individual school record in the 200-breaststroke. Kling posted a perfect 4.0 grade-point average while majoring in cinematography and film. 

In the pool, Harper continued to dominate the 400-IM, an event she won in Biola's opening meet of the year against Cal Baptist. The Redmond, Washington native played an integral role in Biola winning a PCSC title this past season. Harper posted a 3.85 grade-point average while majoring in nursing. The senior was also recently named to the PCSC Academic All-Conference First Team.
