LOUISVILLE, Ky. --- As the Eagles look towards the postseason, the BU softball squad earned a second-place ranking in the most recent NCAA DII West Region. Biola also remained in the NFCA DII Top 25 Coaches Poll at the No. 25 spot.

BU finished its regular season with a 19-13 overall record and a 14-10 mark in the PacWest. On the year, the Eagles boast the best record (7-5) of teams within the West Region against DII opponents above .500.

Those seven wins all came against No. 11 CUI, who was rated first of the West Region. The season series between the two Eagles squads was relatively even but ultimately favored Biola, who logged the lone doubleheader sweep in the 12-game series.

BU currently awaits the selection show for the NCAA DII Regional Championships set to begin on May 19.
