IRVINE, Calif. --- Two-weeks after the PacWest Conference Tournament, Biola Golf earns a trio of players selected to the All-PacWest Second-Team.

The Eagles wrapped up the 2021 campaign with four second place team finishes and a third place finish at the PacWest Conference Tournament. The group was led by three award-winners, Sami Penor, Brady Turnquist and Mary Grace Davidson, who were all named Second-Team All-PacWest.

Penor picked up her second career All-PacWest recognition on Monday. The junior landed amongst the top-10 in four competitions, including a season-best third place finish in the Pioneer Shootout and the CLU Regals Invitational.

The Henderson, Nevada native finished with a score of 10 over-par or less in four-straight competitions. Penor's best outing came in the RJGA Palm Valley Classic, as she carded rounds of 73 and 73 to complete the two-round match at two over-par. Impressive performances pushed Penor up the Golfstat NCAA DII player rankings list into 87th.

Turnquist, a nominee for Freshman of the Year, was distinguished as 118th in the Golfstat NCAA DII player rankings, following a season of an average score of 77.65 per round. The true freshman scored her first All-PacWest distinction.

The Oregon City, Oregon native found immediate success at Biola, winning her first collegiate tournament. Turnquist turned in rounds of 71 and 77 for a four over-par score and a top-place finish above the 40 other competitors. On the season, Turnquist offered three rounds under 10 over-par and a trio of top-five placements.

Another true freshman made an impact in her first collegiate season, as Davidson notched her first All-PacWest honor with a second-team selection like her fellow teammates Penor and Turnquist. 

Davidson was outstanding in the Bay Area Invitational, notching a fifth-place finish, while posting a season-best two-round total of seven over-par. The Austin, Texas native logged her two best individual rounds in the opening 18 holes of the RJGA Palm Valley Classic and the West Texas A&M Desert Invite, starting those competitions with a score of 74.

The stellar trio of Eagles will look to continue their success in 2022 with all three returning next season.
