LA MIRADA, Calif. --- The Biola Eagles notched their first ranking inside the top-25, landing at No. 24 in the Oracle/ITA Division II Women's Team Rankings. Colbeyshae Emery was also featured as the No. 21 singles player and No. 17 in doubles alongside Mary Brascia.

The 2021 campaign was fantastic for the breakout BU squad, who finished with a 13-8 overall record on the year. The team put together its best stretch of play from February 27 to March 25, scoring nine-straight match victories.

Biola capped off the season with a fourth-place finish at the PacWest Championships and their first trip to the NCAA Division II Regional Championships.

Oracla/ITA also released a Top 50 list for singles and doubles rankings in the NCAA Division II. Emery was rated No. 21 in the nation, after competing in the first flight of singles play in each match, notching a 14-4 mark on the season. The sophomore's top win of the year came against 12th-ranked Petra Ivankovic of Azusa Pacific.

Emery's strong play was aided by Brascia in doubles play, as the duo climbed one spot from the previous Oracle/ITA rankings to rank 17th. The tandem collected a seven match winning streak during the 2021 season and went undefeated in the PacWest Tournament.
