AZUSA, Calif. --- Friday's Track & Field competition at the Franson Classic featured BU athlete, Rebeka Preston. The junior participated in four heptathlon events to score 2872 points, while competing against athletes from San Diego State, Azusa Pacific and Vanguard.

Head coach Sean Henning mentioned Preston had a, "great start to the competition," starting the day with the 100-meter hurdles. Preston notched a personal best time of 14.91 in the opening event.

The Independence, Oregon native followed up her hurdles showing with a 1.59-meter high jump and a 9.18-meter shotput. The mark in the high jump was strong enough to tie for sixth amongst all competitors.

Preston completed the day with another personal best in the final Friday event. The junior standout shined in the 200-meter dash with a time of 25.76. 

Preston will look to have a strong Saturday showing in the final three events of the heptathlon at the Franson Classic.
