LA MIRADA, Calif. --- The 12-3 Biola Eagles nabbed votes in the Oracle ITA Division II Women's Tennis Rankings for the second-straight poll. Colbeyshae Emery was also featured in Thursday's rankings, rating 14th in singles and pairing with Mary Brascia to rank 18th in doubles.

Since the previous poll, the Eagles posted three wins through four matches. The team's lone loss came on the road at No. 9 Azusa Pacific. 

BU took down PacWest foes, Metro State and Point Loma over the last two weeks. The strong play from Biola improved the squad's dominant stretch to a 10-1 overall record through their last 11 matches.

Emery has played an important role for Biola, boasting a 12-1 singles record entering Thursday. The sophomore notched her ninth-straight win on Saturday against Point Loma. In a matchup against Azusa Pacific, Emery took down the sixth-ranked singles competitor, Petra Ivankovic.

The perfect tandem, Emery and Brascia, have proved their synergy with a 9-3 overall record in doubles competitions. The duo has competed from the No. 1 flight in each match, while putting together a seven-match winning streak from February 20 through March 16.

Biola will return to play at No. 20 Concordia on Friday at 1:00 pm.
