LOUISVILLE, Ky. --- 10 wins in their last 13 games from the Eagles caught the attention of the National Fastpitch Coaches Association. In Monday's NFCA DII Top 25 Coaches Poll, Biola picked up nine points to earn the receiving votes distinction.

The recent stretch of success for BU has been defined by three marquee wins against now No. 14 Concordia. This past week, BU and CUI battled in a pair of doubleheaders with Biola grabbing three wins.

The series victory over Concordia put BU solely in first place for the PacWest SoCal pod prior to Tuesday's contests. 

Paige Austin and Raylene Roybal combined for each of the last three PacWest Pitcher of the Week honors. Both starting pitchers have collected multiple shutouts in 2021, while Austin holds seven wins and Roybal has six.

As a team, BU sits atop the PacWest in strikeout-to-walk ratio at 3.15 and WHIP at 1.08. Austin has played a huge role in those impressive numbers, logging 90 strikeouts to rate 23rd in the nation and a 0.79 WHIP to rate 21st in the nation.

Kayla Neff has played a major role in the offense, carrying a five-game hitting streak into Wednesday's poll. The senior boasts a .324 batting average while pacing the Eagles with 24 hits, two home runs and a .486 slugging percentage.

Biola will return to normal action against Azusa Pacific in an away doubleheader on Friday, April 16.
