LA MIRADA, Calif. --- BU women's tennis put together an impressive 2021 campaign with a 12-5 overall record and a receiving votes distinction. Colbeyshae Emery and Mary Brascia opened up the postseason awards for the squad with the All-PacWest singles and doubles selections.

Emery was phenomenal in singles play, logging 12 wins from the No. 1 spot in 2021. The sophomore cruised to a First-Team All-PacWest Singles award on Wednesday. 

Nine-straight wins from Emery set her apart through the middle of the season. 10-of-12 victories came in a straight-sets fashion for the Ventura, California native, as Emery was ranked 14th in the Oracle/ITA Division II Women's Singles Rankings.

For the All-PacWest Women's Tennis Doubles awards, Emery and Brascia teamed up for a second-team selection. The tandem concluded regular season play with a 9-5 record from the first flight.

The duo was nearly unbeatable to start the season, going 8-1 through their first nine matches. Emery and Brascia offered strong enough performances to rank 18th in the Oracle/ITA Division II Women's Doubles Rankings.

BU will begin the PacWest Tournament on Thursday with a quarterfinals matchup against Point Loma.
