LA MIRADA, Calif. --- The PacWest heralded Paige Austin as the pitcher of the week, as announced on Monday. Dominant play from Austin has earned the senior back-to-back weekly honors, while increasing her career total to six pitcher of the week awards.

Austin crushed the opposing offense last week, dealing 14.2 total innings for a pair of wins. The pitcher capped off the week with a gem, posting a one-hit shutout against Azusa Pacific on Friday.

The righty was untouchable through three outings, collecting 23 strikeouts to average 11.0 whiffs per seven innings. Two-consecutive double-digit strikeout performances added to her spectacular run, as Austin notched her sixth effort with at least 10 strikeouts with four coming in her last four starts.

Heading into Monday's announcement, Austin sat atop of the PacWest in multiple categories. With eight complete games, 80 strikeouts, six wins and a 0.82 WHIP, Austin has cemented her reputation as a top pitcher in the conference.

Austin and the Eagles will return to the diamond in a home matchup against No. 8 Concordia on Wednesday.
