ALAMEDA, Calif. --- Junior Sami Penor was the top Eagles finisher at the Tim Tierney Pioneer Shootout, securing a third place finish, as Biola placed second in the seven-team field. BU Women's Golf returns home with a second place finish for the second time in just as many tournaments.

Biola (+47, 623) shot 314 in the final round to finish at 26-over par for day two and finished just nine shots back of first-place Dominican University (+38, 614) for the tournament.

The Eagles saw strong performances from junior Sami Penor and senior Rachel Reynolds. Penor (72, 76, 148) shot 4-over 72 on Tuesday to post a score of 148 over the two rounds. She made two birdies in the front-nine while tallying 10 holes at par with six birdies on the day.

Reynolds (75, 80, 155) shot five-over her day one totals but still managed to secure a fourth-place finish. In the front-nine, she shot two birdies along with two bogeys and three holes at par.

Just missing a top-ten finish by one-stroke, freshman Brady Turnquist (81, 78, 159) shot 159 over two days. Fellow freshman Jessica Cornelius (81, 80, 161) competed as an individual and finished first among the five individual competitors.

The Eagles' next tournament takes them to The Palm Valley Golf Club in Goodyear, Ariz. for the Western New Mexico Tournament. The tournament will be played on Monday, Apr. 3 and Tuesday, Apr. 4.
