LA MIRADA, Calif. --- The Biola men's soccer squad landed three members on the All-PacWest Southern California Team, including Aidan Hill, Lawrence Kwazema and Henry Reeves. The Wednesday announcement marked the first career postseason All-PacWest award for all three Eagles.

BU held a 1-3 record entering Wednesday fresh off a 6-1 victory over Bethesda. Through the four game stretch, the trio of award winners helped the Eagles post more assists (7-4) and corner kicks (25-16) than their opponents.

Hill began his BU career with a strong 2021 campaign from the midfielder position, drawing the start in each match. The junior was aggressive on the ball, launching two shots in all four contests, while landing two goals. Hill recorded the first goal of the season for BU, while also adding to the team's 6-1 rout over Bethesda.

"Aidan is a naturally gifted player and it is easy for people to recognize his quality right away," said head coach Torrey Stricklin. "I am equally as excited to see Aidan play this fall with our full group where I believe he will be freed up to maximize all of his qualities to the fullest."

Kwazema has been steady for the Biola defense, logging four starts and 340 minutes on the year. Early in the season, the junior helped stifle opposing offenses, holding Point Loma to three goals through two games. 

In the team's most recent match against Bethesda, Kwazema shifted to the attack and produced big results for the Eagles. The Nigeria native was electric on the ball, netting a hat trick and earning a PacWest Player of the Week award for his performance.

Stricklin had this to say about Kwazema, "Lawrence has been a staple in our backline this spring. What most excites me is that he is going to be set up to have even more success this fall with the personnel we are going to put around him."

Reeves added to the Biola defensive effort, starting in all four matches and never leaving the pitch through each competition. The junior defender joined in the offensive onslaught against Bethesda, corralling his fourth career assist in the victory.

"Henry is one of the players I was excited to coach after being hired," stated Stricklin. "He has a lot of good qualities as a player and person. I believe he will continue to flourish even more next fall within our team's identity and training environment."

Biola will cap off the 2021 campaign with a road contest at Concordia on Wednesday, March 24.
