LA MIRADA, Calif. --- Biola Men's Basketball went 2-0 this past weekend against Concordia Irvine to improve to 3-1 this season in PacWest Conference competition. The success was thanks in large part to the relentless efforts on the glass, in facilitating and in putting up points by junior Alex Wright.

Wright was incredible in both victories, averaging 21.5 points-per-game and 10 rebounds-per-game to put himself in talks about the best players in the conference. As a result of his efforts, Wright was named this week PacWest Conference Player of the Week for the SoCal pod.

His second game was especially astonishing as on Saturday night in Chase Gym he dropped in 28 points and added 13 rebounds for his third double-double of the year. On the season he's averaging just over 17 points-per-game and 10 rebounds-per-game, while being second on the team with a .542 field goal percentage.

Wright and the Eagles are back in action this weekend tipping off round two of PacWest Conference SoCal pod play against Azusa Pacific. The Eagles travel to the Cougars Friday evening before returning to Chase Gym Saturday.
