Wulf, Carpenter Named All-Americans

Kenny Wulf & Mitchell Carpenter punctuate first season with All-American selection.

December 23, 2021

BRIDGEPORT, Pa. --- After leading Biola Men's Water Polo in scoring and saves, Kenny Wulf and Mitchell Carpenter earned national recognition with selection to the 2021 Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches All-America teams. Wulf was one of eight men named to the NCAA Division II All-American first team. Carpenter was seen as the second-best goalkeeper in all of NCAA Division II, earning an honorable mention nod.

Wulf was one of four players from the Western Water Polo Association to earn All-America First-Team selection. He was Biola's top scorer all season long, finishing the year with 42 goals. He was just as important outside of the goal scoring, tying for the team-lead with 22 drawn exclusions and third on the squad with 17 steals.

Carpenter shone brightly during his true freshman campaign. The Eagles' lengthy keeper came up with 251 blocks on the season, which was eighth-most among all NCAA goalkeepers. Fresno Pacific's Clay Maroney was the only DII keeper with more saves. Maroney was the first-team selection.

Biola Men's Water Polo will have an abbreviated spring season of exhibition matches, while it gears up for year two next fall. Follow all the news and updates on Biola Men's Water Polo at https://athletics.biola.edu/sports/mens-water-polo and @biolamwp on Instagram.
