LA MIRADA --- The College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association compiled a list of the top-100 greatest women's swimmers and divers over the past 100 years. Biola legend, Christine Tixier, earned a spot amongst the star-studded list thanks to four incredible seasons in La Mirada.

Tixier dominated for Biola from 2011 through 2015, accumulating a litany of accolades. The BU talent gathered national recognition, picking up back-to-back NAIA Swimmer of the Year awards in 2014 and 2015. Throughout her time in La Mirada, Tixier claimed 13 NAIA All-American honors and eight NAIA individual championships.

Those eight NAIA Titles included four-straight 100 fly championships at the NAIA National level. Tixier also added National Championships in the 200 fly and 200 IM in 2014 and 2015.

Out of the pool, Tixier excelled in the classroom, as an all-around student-athlete at Biola. In her senior year, Tixier was recognized as a CoSIDA Academic All-American of the Year.

Nearly three thousand athletes were nominated for the prestigious list. A group of media, current and former swimmers and coaches whittled it down to a count of just under 1,000 finalists and ultimately 100 athletes.

The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA), is the nation's first organization of college coaches. The mission of the CSCAA is to advance the sport of swimming and diving with coaches at the epicenter of leadership, advocacy, and professional development.
