SOUTH JORDAN, Utah --- Biola Golf (304-309-613) nabbed a second-place team finish while Brady Turnquist finished in the top spot on the individual leaderb oard for the second-straight tournament this season at the Wasatch Invitational at the Glenmoor Golf Club on Saturday. 

The weather continued to present unideal golfing conditions as golfers experienced hail and 45-degree temperatures at tee time, leading to a 20-minute delay to kick off the action. 

Just as they did yesterday, the Eagles proved that they could overcome tough conditions and perform at high levels. 

A career-best first-round of 69 positioned Turnquist (69-77-146) to earn the top spot in her second-straight tournament. Although the sophomore did not shoot below par in round two, she still played well enough to finish atop the leader board, beating out Faith Kilgore from Colorado Christian by three strokes for the tournament win. Turnquist shot four-over-par on the front nine but bounced back and shot just one-over on the back nine, carding a round of 77. She is the first three-time tournament winner in program history.

Melanie Reyes (73-77-150), Biola's second-best finisher, gave the Eagles another top-5 finisher as she tied for fifth place after carding a score of 77 in round two. Reyes completed all but five holes at par and completed all five of those holes just one stroke over par. 

Lauren Lee (82-77-159) continued Biola's success by shaving five strokes off her first-round tally to jump up almost 20 spots in the leader board. The freshman finished her second collegiate tournament tied for 26th. 

Biola's veteran of the squad, Sami Penor (80-81-161), added one stroke from her first-round score, carding a round of 81. Penor sank a birdie on the 390-yard 14th hole. She finished tied for 33rd place. Rachel Shaw (86-77-164) opened her day with a birdie on the first hole to round out Biola's team score, carding a round of 77.  

Mary Grace Davidson (86-83-169) improved by three strokes in the second round, carding a score of 83 as she competed as an individual for Biola. 

Biola has nine days to prepare for its next action as the Eagles prepare for the Fort Lewis Fall Invitational in Albuquerque, New Mexico on October 18. For live scoring, check athletics.biola.edu.
