WAIMEA, Hawaii --- The Eagles return home from the Dennis Rose Intercollegiate with a second place finish as a team in their final tournament of the calendar year for Biola Golf. Brady Turnquist nabbed yet another tournament victory, while five of the Eagles finished in the top-25.

With the final round complete on the Hapuna Golf course, Biola (293-304-297-894) held onto second place, working together to grind out a top-tier performance. Grand Valley State (297-298-294-889) carried on to win the tournament, while Sonoma State made their way up the podium (306-297-304) to claim third place. 

Brady Turnquist continued to soar for the Eagles as she finished round three carding a score of 72. The sophomore (72-70-72-214) finished the tournament in first place, four strokes ahead of Faith Kilgore from Colorado Christian University. 

Turnquist has been a major assist to this program, she's got a little under three full years left to add to her mark she has been making to Biola Golf. This is his third individual win of the season and fourth win of her collegiate career.

Freshman Rachel Shaw was BU's second-best scorer, finishing 12 strokes behind Turnquist (72-74-80-226). Shaw was very consistent the whole tournament helping her to close out tied for 11th place. 

After a rough second day, Sami Penor (77-80-74-231) trusted her ability to improve her score in the final round of the tournament. At the end of day one finishing tied for 30 she worked her way up 12 spots and tied for 18th place on the individual leaderboard. Melanie Reyes also tied for 18th place (72-82-77-231, turning in a card of 77 on the final day of competition.. 

Lauren Lee (79-80-74-233) rounded out Biola's efforts in 24th place just two strokes behind Penor and Reyes. Lee posted her best round on day three, improving on her opening day total by five strokes.

Mary Grace Davidson competed as an individual for BU (80-76-82-238), finishing the tournament tied for 38th place on the individual leaderboard.

After completing the fall semester, the Eagles will be back in action on Monday February 7 and February 8, as they head to Texas to play in the Texas A&M International.
