FULLERTON, Calif. --- All nine runners for Biola scored season-best times on Friday, cruising to stellar finishes at the Fullerton Invitational. The BU women's cross country squad nabbed fifth place on the day, while the men did not field enough participants to score as a team.

The Eagles showcased young talent in the Friday competition. Sophomore Caroline Stetina paced the team, placing 24th with a time of 18:59.7. The blazing speed cut down on her previous season-best mark by nearly one minute.

Five freshmen followed, giving Biola 143 points and a fifth place finish amongst a field of 10 teams. Keira Coye was the next Eagle to cross the finish line, nabbing 26th with a time of 19:02.6. Another sub-20:00 mark came in from Kaela Berretta at 19:10.5 in 31st place.

Lillianna Sosa and Hailey Schadt finished within 17 seconds of each other, posting times of 20:26.2 and 20:43.0, respectively. Taylor Caldwell competed in her fourth race of the year on Friday, offering her best placement and time in 72nd place at 21:07.4.

For the men, Caden Sanchez notched his first top-15 placement to lead the team. The freshman crossed the finish line at 25:26.3 for a personal-best time. Aden Wiebers came in next in 20th place with a time of 25:37.2. Connor Bramel rounded out the Biola crew in 34th place with a time of 25:55.2.
