LA MIRADA, Calif. --- The PacWest announced Brady Turnquist as golfer of the week for the third time in 2021, as released on Thursday. Most recently, Turnquist and the Eagles finished fifth place out of 14 teams at the Nick Turner Invitational in Albuquerque, New Mexico. 

Turnquist has participated in three events this year for the Eagles and earned PacWest Golfer of the week after all three of the events she has competed in. 

"This is a much deserved honor," said Head Coach Jane Carr. "Brady is having an incredible season, during the off season she was always at the golf course. She is a competitor, always wanting to be the best player she can be, and she will put in the hard work it requires." 

The Oregon City, Oregon native scored a 71 at one under-par the first day of the Nick Turner Invitational to sit tied for third place on the individual leaderboard after the opening round. Turnquist continued her awe-inspiring 2021 campaign, securing an eagle on the 15th hole with a 40-foot putt, for the first time of her collegiate career. 

Just as she has done all fall season, Turnquinst goes out with a bang turning in BU's best scorecard in the tournament, facing some of the best competition in NCAA Division II like the Lone Star Conference. Turnquist thoroughly impressed finishing third place and scoring two over-par at 74 with a total of 145 strokes on the invitational. 

Turnquist and the Eagles will return to the course on Monday with a three day Hawaii Hilo Tournament at the Hapuna Golf Course in Kohala Coast, Hawaii. For live stats links and updates check athletics.biola.edu.
