LA MIRADA, Calif. --- Katelyn Harper and Liza Parahnevich were listed among the 1,479 swimmers and divers who were named to the Scholar All-American team by the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) on Wednesday. 

This award recognizes student-athletes who maintained a 3.5 GPA or above while earning a provisional cut or competing at their respective national championship. This is the second-consecutive year that Harper has met the criteria for this honor while Parahnevich's recognition marks the first time in the NCAA era the Eagles have placed multiple members of the swim & dive team on the list.

Harper carried a 3.843 GPA this past academic year as a sophomore nursing major while her national cut in the 400-IM earned her a spot at the 2020 NCAA DII Swimming & Diving Championships. 

Parahnevich also earned her individual NCAA 'B' standard in the 400-IM and achieved a 4.0 GPA during her first academic year at Biola.
