LA MIRADA, Calif. --- After just over a month of reliving the most memorable moments from the 2019-20 Biola Athletics season, the fans have spoken and chosen a winner for top moment of 19-20!

After five rounds of voting with almost 10,000 total votes submitted on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook the top moment of the year goes to Biola Women's Soccer. The Eagles take home the top honor on the merit of coming back from down 2-0 at Fresno Pacific on the final day of the regular season with a Halie Jamir game-winning goal powering them to a 3-2 victory.

The final matchup was between Jamir and her teammates' thrilling comeback and the historic finish to the 2019-20 Biola Swim & Dive season. There were 1,257 votes registered in this final matchup with Jamir and Women's Soccer earning 55 percent of the vote and Swim & Dive finishing up with 45 percent.

This women's soccer moment capped another phenomenal year under Head Coach Erin Brunelle, who led this Eagles team to an 11-5-2 overall record and 8-2-1 PacWest Conference mark. The team was ranked within the region throughout the year and had its first shot at a regional championship berth.

The win at FPU to close out the regular season was the first win for Biola Women's Soccer AT Fresno Pacific since 2004. BU improved to 9-4-2 all-time against the Sunbirds.

It was a thrilling win that ended the strong season on a high note. The highlight of the year, previously, was an 11-match unbeaten streak from Sept. 14 through Nov. 4 that included 770 consecutive minutes of holding nine different opponents scoreless.

The winning moment was the highest vote-getter in each of the five rounds and when all the counting was done accounted for 27.2 percent of all the votes registered throughout the course of this countdown.

It was a memorable year in 2019-20 and over the course of the past two months its been great fun to be able to look back via our individual award winners and all these top moments. We thank the followers who participated in voting throughout this countdown and now we turn our attention to making even more great memories back on campus in 2020-21.
