TUCSON, Ariz. --- Kaskile Zawadi has epitomized hard work and consistency on several winning soccer teams since he moved up to the collegiate level.

A graduate of Cholla High School who received All-Southern Arizona recognition as a senior, Zawadi has been a leading contributor on three teams that went to national tournaments over the past three years. The right back has started 54 of his team's 68 matches between his stints at Pima Community College and Fairleigh Dickinson University and has built an incredible resume that magnifies the impression he's made on Head Coach Torrey Stricklin. 

"I have known Kaskile for a few years as a player and have always been impressed with him," said Stricklin. "He is an athletic right back that fits our system well. And he has a great personality on top of that, which makes him the right fit for our program both on and off the field."

Zawadi helped the Pima Aztecs to their first NJCAA National Championship in his sophomore year while earning second team NJCAA All-American honors. 

And that's just the top of a long list of accomplishments Zawadi earned at PCC. The Aztecs won 19 matches and earned 10 shutouts on the way to a national semifinal appearance during Zawadi's first year. Then Zawadi and his team followed that up with a No. 1 national ranking ahead of the 2018 season and won 26 matches on the way to their national title. 

Pima accomplished several firsts in program history during that year with the help of Zawadi and the backline: the Aztecs earned 18-straight victories and gave up just 17 goals during their 28-match schedule.

After 26 starts in 2018, Zawadi started 13 of Fairleigh Dickinson's 16 matches while the Knights qualified for the NCAA Tournament. The right back played every minute in nine contests, including both parts of FDU's magical run through the Northeast Conference Tournament. The Knights played 120 minutes in the semifinals and in the championship of the conference tournament and defeated the NEC's No. 1 and No. 2 seeds on penalty kicks to qualify for the NCAA's.

The Eagles would certainly love to see Zawadi bring some of that magic to Al Barbour Field when he joins his new teammates and works toward completing his business administration degree at Biola. 

"I'm excited to start a new chapter in life," said Zawadi. "I'm confident that community that Biola and Coach Stricklin are building will help me grow as a person and an athlete."
