LA MIRADA, Calif. --- With over 5,000 votes cast through the first two rounds, the top-20 moments of the 2019-20 athletic year have been whittled down to a top-8! Since the start of May, Biola fans have taken to social media to cast their votes for the best of the best memories from the past year. The voting so far sets us up for for quarterfinal matchups next week.

The eight top moments feature eight different Biola Athletics programs, including men's basketball, baseball, women's soccer, women's basketball, men's cross country, men's soccer and men and women's swim & dive. Quarterfinal voting runs from Monday through Thursday of next week, with the final four moments announced on Friday.

THIRD ROUND MATCHUPS:
Mike's Moment vs. Hello, Ben! - Monday, May 25
This matchup is between Michael Bagatourian's game-winning shot and Biola's dramatic upset of Azusa Pacific in the PacWest Conference semifinals and Ben Smith's walk-off homerun to end an incredible opening weekend for him and Biola Baseball.

Jamir Seals It vs. What A Year! - Tuesday, May 26
This matchup is between a pair of moments featuring Biola Women's Soccer. The first is about Biola's incredible come-from-behind 3-2 victory at Fresno Pacific on the final day of the season. The second highlights the fantastic start to the season by Women's Soccer and their record-setting shutout streak of 770 minutes!

Playoffs! vs. Champions! - Wednesday, May 27
This matchup is between women's basketball and men's cross country. For Head Coach Alan Nakamura's team it's all about being the first team to compete at the PacWest basketball tournament and WINNING their first game over Point Loma with a final possession go-ahead bucket. Men's Cross Country features excellence, as usual, as they repeat as PacWest Conference Champions and see Gabe Plendcio also repeat as the individual champion.

What A Capper! vs. Postseason Poise! - Thursday, May 28
This matchup is between men's soccer and men & women's swim & dive. Men's Soccer had a phenomenal finish to their home season in 2019, getting a golden goal from Alejandro Pelayo to complete an improbable comeback and win in overtime. Swim & Dive had the best season in program history and finished the year with a pair of podium finishes at conference (for the 1st time) AND sent the first-ever individual to swim at the NCAA Division II Championships.
