Finish Strong: 
Biola Volleyball's three-straight wins to end the season made for a feel-good ending to the 2019 season. Sabrina Winslow and Bekah Roth dominated a huge win a home over Point Loma with a combined 34 kills and the Eagles erased 13-5 and 21-15 deficits in the fourth set to complete the season sweep of the Sea Lions. Then the Eagles got straight-set wins on back-to-back nights against Dominican and Notre Dame de Namur, highlighted by meaningful contributions from all four seniors. Becca Branch and Savannah Hilde both tallied 10 kills or more on the week. Kaitlin O'Brien had just as many kills as she had digs in the final match against NDNU and Sabrina Winslow recorded a huge milestone on senior day with 12 kills that raised her career total to exactly 1,000.

What A Year!: 
A good defense can go a long way on a soccer field, and look no further for proof than when the Eagles only allowed one goal--on a penalty kick--over their first seven games of PacWest competition.  From September 14 to October 19, the Eagles went 7-0-1 while playing 770 minutes without allowing a goal from the opposing team. During that stretch, the Biola defense stood tall from forwards to keeper, allowing fewer than 10 shots in five matches. The Eagles also surrendered three shots on goal or less in five matches while senior Christina Rodriguez set the Biola Soccer record for career shutouts during the streak. She would finish her career with a total of 29 clean sheets and she was named conference keeper of the year for her efforts. At the same time, Biola's attack produced over 15 shots a match on average and earned PacWest weekly awards for Rodriguez, Colie Martin and Madi Reeves. Senior Madyson Brown also set the program record for minutes played in the midst of all the shutouts while Women's Soccer built the foundation of its first 10-plus match unbeaten streak in the NCAA-Era, going 10-0-1 in an eight-week span that started on September 14.
