MORGAN HILL, Calif. --- Austin Kilinski was part of two difference-making teams as a senior student-athlete at Monte Vista Christian High School in the San Jose-area. 

A kicker on the Mustangs' football team in the fall and a four-year starting centerback for MVCHS' boys soccer team, Kilinski helped both Mustang teams to their best records in recent years during his final year of high school competition. 

He will get a fresh start with the Eagles this coming fall as he joins Head Coach Torrey Stricklin's men's soccer roster. But Kilinski will hope to contribute to a similar jump in success for BUMS as the program begins its fourth season in the PacWest.

From September to February of his senior year, Kilinski helped Monte Vista Christian football to a second-straight CIF playoff appearance and its winningest season since Kilinski was a freshman (seven wins), then led the soccer team to its most successful season in over 15 years. 

According to MaxPreps.com, Mustangs Boys Soccer went undefeated with a 5-0-3 mark from December 9, 2019 to January 9, 2020 while Kilinski served as team captain and eventually earned All-Pacific Coast League First Team honors. 

The Morgan Hill, California-native plans to major in Business Administration at Biola and is confident that the university's business and marketing classes will prepare him to start his own business:

"I chose Biola because of the close knit community and team culture at a place where I know I will receive a great education while playing the sport I love," said Kaliniski. "I look forward to growing my faith, self, and soccer skills, while forming lifelong friendships."

Kilinski and the Eagles are scheduled to host Stanislaus State at Al Barbour Field on September 5 to officially open the 2020 season. More information on the incoming 2020-21 class that will join him at Biola can be found on the Committed Athletes page.
