SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. --- Adam Jones had some familiarity with Biola University before putting his soccer recruitment process into full swing. His father earned a master's degree from Biola and Jones had made a personal visit to campus that was unrelated to his sport.

But after getting a look into the Eagles' men's soccer program through a camp, the Spokane Valley, Washington-native was all in and signed a letter of intent to join BUMS for Fall 2020.

Despite seeing his senior season cut short due to COVID-19, Jones has accomplished a lot in his three high school seasons. He was named to the Greater Spokane League First Team in 2019 after leading the league in points with 11 goals and seven assists as a junior. 

The four-year varsity player at Central Valley High School also won a Regional Club League title with his Spokane Sounders club team during his junior year and has been playing with that organization since his elementary school days. 

Off of the pitch, Jones has maintained a 3.5 GPA all four years and earned membership in that honors society at CVHS. He lettered in band after playing trumpet as a freshman and sophomore and regularly volunteers in the children's ministry at his church. 

Jones will be entering Biola in August 2020 as a journalism major and hopes to eventually the sports journalism world with the aim of writing stories for ESPN. He also expressed his excitement about enrolling at a university that feels like such a great fit for him:
 
"I had a visit that was not related to the athletic side of Biola and fell in love with the school and the people on campus," said Jones. "Later that summer I went down for a camp at Biola where I met most of the team and loved the environment created by the coaches and the players and wanted to be a part of that."
