Griffin Joins The Excitement

Biola Swim & Dive continues to BUILD, now Ashlynn Griffin will be part of that.

March 12, 2020

REDLANDS, Calif. --- Ryan Kauth's next recruiting class for swim and dive continues to grow, adding another CIF swimmer from a nearby high school powerhouse.

Ashlynn Griffin joins from Redlands East Valley High School, where she made honor roll all four years while helping the Wildcats to two Citrus Belt League team championships in the pool. She also helped win CBL titles in the 200-yard and 400-yard freestyle relay.

Griffin also won most inspirational on her club swim team several times, something she takes pride in.

When she joins the Eagles, Griffin plans to specialize in the 200-yard and 100-yard freestyle. She also swam the individual medley in high school and is open to doing so again at the next level.

Outside of the pool, Griffin intends to major in kinesiology with the goal of either owning her own athletic training practice or become a trainer for a college or professional sports team.

"I chose Biola University because I love the environment of the school, I loved the coach, team and just the school all around," Griffin said. "It just clicked! I am very honored and excited to be able to go to this amazing school and continue my academic and swimming career!"

Griffin will have to wait until late 2020 to get her first chance to swim for the Eagles under Kauth. Catch her at Lansing Pool and SPLASH! Aquatic Center beginning in October.
